George Harris is the founder and Managing Partner of the George Harris Collaborative Inc. He is a professional landscape architect who has devoted the past twenty-five years to improving the quality of outdoor life in Western Canadian cities and towns. George’s experience includes local and regional public parks, commercial and residential developments, complete streets, multi-modal transportation systems, sustainable master planning and community revitalization. His engaging, personal approach reflects George’s genuine desire to understand and meet the needs of clients, stakeholders and users. George has a proven track record of interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering creative solutions to each project’s unique challenges. His goal-focused project management style and experience advance his projects through all phases of design, construction documents, tender review and construction administration. George’s work focuses on sustainable solutions, complete streets, green infrastructure, walkable communities, social equity and celebration of local culture.

Kelly is a partner in the George Harris Collaborative Inc. and manager of the Vancouver office. Kelly is a Landscape architectural technologist specializing in project management and back-end project delivery.  With 18 years working all through Western Canada, Kelly has significant experience with a wide array of project styles.  From back-country trail construction to architectural building renovations, Kelly’s detailed approach and proactive manner help bring his client’s vision to reality. Kelly has significant experience, working in the field, with Contracting teams, as Project Manager, Contract Administrator and Site Inspector. With a background in both small office and large firm environments, Kelly has an active and versatile working knowledge of many project types and structures.  Kelly can also provide constructability reviews and input during pursuit, concept and preliminary design phases as well as oversee all construction management and inspection services.  No matter how ambitious the project, Kelly has the experience and ability to bring concept to reality. 

B. Urban Design, PMP

Shady Ali is a partner in the George Harris Collaborative Inc. and the Manager of the Cairo office.  Shady practices out of Calgary and Cairo. A landscape architect with over 10 years of professional experience, including numerous significant projects throughout the Middle East., Shady brings with him a wealth of technical knowledge and design experience. He is a certified Project Management Professional. His recent work includes; Sikome Lake Master Plan, Homes By Avi University District Hotel and Condominiums, Saddlehills Campground Redevelopment, Shuqaiq Steam Power Plant Housing Compound, PHC Residential Compound, Asphan City Interchange Streetscape, Al Qarafa Site Renovation. Shady will be project managing work in both in Canada and the Middle East.

Ken started his career as Landscape Contractor and Owner which he has experience in for over 40 years. In 1981 Ken founded Rainmakers where Ken developed his skills. During the 40 years of operation the company became one of the biggest irrigation contractors in Calgary. Ken was qualified by the city Calgary for irrigation. Calgary for irrigation. During this time Ken and his team worked on a wide variety of projects. He worked in a number of different locations throughout Alberta, including Calgary, Lethbridge, and Edmonton where he provided irrigation design services to many important landscape architecture firms in Calgary.

Patricia McKee has spent the past 18 years re-imagining the public realm. Her work blurs the boundaries between landscape, art, urban design and strategic planning. Patrica was an Instructor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Manitoba, Canada, before relocating joining George Harris’ studio in the Alberta. Since 2002, Patricia has been based in New York City, practicing landscape architecture and urban design in eastern U.S.A., western Canada, and Germany. Her work focuses on large[1]scale public projects including waterfront redevelopment, public parks, expositions, transportation-oriented design and neighborhood revitalization.

Mark is a Canadian landscape architect, leverages 2 years of international experience, seamlessly integrating sustainability and aesthetics into his designs. His portfolio showcases a range of projects, from serene natural retreats to vibrant urban spaces. He continues to push boundaries, emphasizing community engagement and landscape architectural education. Mark is poised to leave an indelible mark in the world of innovative and sustainable landscape design.

Rhonda has 25 years of experience as a Landscape Architectural Technologist, Parks Planner and Horticultural Design Consultant. Her professional experience includes 5 years as Parks Planner for the City of Airdrie. In this role she was responsible for approving external landscape design/development project, managing Parks capital design projects and ensuring projects came within budget. Prior to this, Rhonda held an instructor role at Olds College, in the Environmental Sciences department for 8 years. As a full time instructor, she taught plant identification, horticultural designand landscape construction. She also had a lead role on the Constructed Wetland Research and Design project.
